The MuCEM (musée des civilisations de l'Europe et de la Méditerranée) is a national museum located in Marseille. It opened on June 7, 2013, when Marseille was the European Capital of Culture. MuCEM is a society museum dedicated to the civilizations of Europe and the Mediterranean. MuCEM, with help from the agency Spassky-Fischer, updated its graphic universe in 2017, and it wanted to update its dynamic communication signage to make it coherent with its digital and print materials.

Reciproque was selected by MuCEM to establish a blueprint for dynamic communication in public and professional spaces and to draft the specifications for the broadcast software architecture.

Always striving to be the best, to be more open and generous, MuCEM keeps one step ahead of an ever more demanding, independent and curious public. MuCEM’s objective is to share the wealth it produces on a daily basis with as many people as possible. These treasures must be on display for regular visitors as well as for passersby and occasional tourists. Reciproque helped the museum to analyze business processes and with the specification of a new tool designed to streamline its program development and dissemination process.

The goal with MuCEM’s dynamic signage was to make the museum’s current events appealing, visible and audible, in conjunction with the print communication and oral transmission.
